Here’s the catch, it can’t be a Ferrari, Lamborghini or Pagani.
Mine would have to be the Lancia 037 Stradale because it was basically a road-legal rally car.

For beauty: Lancia Fulvia
For performance and “uhh…what is that/it’s a platypus on wheels!”: B Engineering Edonis (Seriously, look it up.) It isn’t pretty but I recall at the time it was an incredibly well-received car, one of Italy’s best until the Zonda came along...

Yes they do. I will completely forget this car exists then something will remind me about it, and I get all excited and fall in love with it again. It’s weird but it works.

The best part about the car is that you wouldn’t expect something like this from Maserati.

Fiat 500 Abarth 695 SS, it might be tiny and cute, but underneath it’s a 75% scale 911 race car and it’s not going take shit from anyone!
I’m also quite partial to Matt Farah’s million mile Lexus:

Yes and no, if you go way back in time Maserati was huge in F1, up until the mid 50’s they regularly raced and won in F1 , the Mille Miglia, and GT racing. After the ‘57 Mille Miglia they pretty much withdraw from all racing. The MC12 really was a return to their roots. A beautiful amazing return to their roots.

That was my point, at the time there wasn’t any expectation for a car like this to come from them since the rest of their lineup was nothing but luxury coupes and sedans.

Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani don’t even enter my radar space.
(I may have said this before but)...
The answer to my favourite Italian (and is my all-time favourite) car is the...
1955 Lancia Aurelia B24 Spider America (I would accept a Spider also).
I mean look at it. It should be declared by UNESCO as a piece of outstanding natural beauty.

Both of my choices have been taken: 33 Stradale and 037 Stradale, so I’ll say 4C. I went to a dealer to see one recently and stared at it from different angles for over half an hour, without realizing it. Take a beautiful Evo sound clip because I do wish the 4C sounded like this instead though:
